Chabot Space Center, Oakland

The observatory is open, weather permitting, and allows you to take in the stars. The telescopes allow visitors to look into the heavens both day and night at the height of 1500 feet above the Bay. There are both day and night staffed observatory hours and volunteers will help you with the equipment and information.
